Manzullo Issues Statement on North Korea’s Rocket Test

From Rep. Don Manzullo (R., 16th District)…

[WASHINGTON] – Congressman Donald Manzullo, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Asia and the Pacific, issued the following statement in response to news reports concerning North Korea’s rocket test:

“The North Korean regime has once again shown that it is more interested in nuclear weapons and long range ballistic missile technology than peace and prosperity. Today’s rocket test is nothing more than a ploy by the new North Korean leader, Kim Jong Un, and his despotic cohorts to distract the people of North Korea from the regime’s never ending oppression and the misery of its own people. If this rocket test is followed by a nuclear test, then it will be very difficult to continue any type of negotiations in this atmosphere. I call on North Korea to immediately cease any ongoing and future tests.”
