From the campaign to reelect Rep. Joe Walsh (R, Illinois 8th District)…
The Walsh for Congress campaign is proud to announce the launch of the Walsh for Congress mobile campaign, a 1984 Motor Home, that Congressman Joe Walsh will ride around in and campaign in for the next seven months. Walsh hopes to use this mobile campaign as a way to bring his campaign directly to the residents and voters of the 8th Congressional District and meet as many 8th District voters as possible.
Congressman Walsh stated, “When I got elected, I pledged to be the most accessible member of Congress. My goal for the Walsh for Congress mobile campaign is to bring our campaign directly to the district to hear the questions and concerns people have about the problems our great country faces.”
Walsh continued, “Residents of the 8th District are worried about a struggling economy, rising gas prices, and wasteful government spending. They know our country is off track, but my opponent remains insulated from the district meeting instead with Washington insiders and party bosses from Chicago. I’m not that candidate and this election is much too important for that type of campaign. That’s why I’ll be out in the district meeting with people wherever I can.”
The Walsh for Congress mobile campaign launches this weekend and the Congressman will travel in it throughout the district during the campaign. Be sure to keep an eye out for the Motor Home over the next few weeks through the November election.
