Roskam Meets with Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat in Washington

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Peter Roskam (IL-06) sat down with the Mayor of Jerusalem Nir Barkat to discuss the future of Jerusalem and the economic development of the city and Israel as a whole.

“Not only is Israel a beacon of democracy in the Middle East, but is also an example of prosperity and economic growth that its neighbors and the global community can follow,” said Roskam. “Sitting down with Mayor Barkat today, we reaffirmed the unshakeable and vital U.S.-Israel relationship, and I reinforced that my colleagues and I in Congress will continue to stand with Israel in our shared quest for peace in the Middle East.”
