This Weekend on Champion News, Sunday, July 26 at 8AM on WIND AM 560 Radio

This week, Jim Edwards, Executive Director of the Illinois Republican Renaissance PAC (IRRPAC) joins hosts Jack Roeser and Carol Parisi to talk Illinois politics.

Jim is a former mayor of Sycamore, IL who has run his own small business for many years. As Exec Director of IRRPAC, he now works to get good Conservatives elected to our state government.

Chick-fil-A: A Lesson in the Intolerance of Tolerance: Homosexual advocates and the elected officials who support them are acting like bullies. They are clearly discriminating against a business because of the owners’ Christian beliefs, not because of any actions by the company. They are also attempting to use their power of government to stop a company just because they disagree with their religious beliefs. Again, this is discriminatory and a violation of the First Amendment. Secondly , it is also a blatant abuse of power.

It’s about Tort Reform, Stupid!: If Obama and the Democrats who supported ObamaCare were really interested in lowering the costs of “healthcare,” they could simply duplicate the actions Texas has taken since 2003. Since these changes were made, the level of medical malpractice law suits in Texas has dropped 80%! That’s a huge amount, and it’s a huge part of the reason why Texas has seen a large increase of medical providers moving their practices to that state.

“You Didn’t Build That” Meme Review: If you didn’t hear President Obama’s speech last week, his most incendiary comment was: “If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that, somebody else made that happen.” This statement has led to a series of memes that went viral. They include themes of movies, children, debt, the most popular inventions. Follow this link to see a collection of some of ur favorites.
